There's an enhanced risk for severe in the Omaha area Friday afternoon and evening. Strong to severe storms could produce tornadoes, large hail, and damaging wind in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. Storms could develop anytime after 3 p.m. in eastern Nebraska and quickly move north and east into the evening. The best chance for impacts in the Omaha metro will be between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Make sure you have more than one way to receive severe alerts if you'll be at one of Friday evening's events — the Nebraska high school state soccer tournament, Cinco de Mayo Festival, or The Killers concert.
